Major auction of Illinois farmland set for November 9

Approximately 1,103 acres of Illinois farmland will be offered at auction Thursday, November 9, with Schrader Real Estate and Auction Company conducting the auction.

The land is offered in 14 tracts ranging in size from 40 to 167 acres. It is located in Southwest Kankakee County, Northern Ford County, and Northwest Iroquois County. It features productive soils and a high percentage of tillable land, with excellent road frontage.

“This productive land is suitable for operators or investors. These tracts include 585 contiguous acres, separated by a road,” said managing agent Matt Wiseman.

R.D. Schrader, president of the company, said options are numerous with 14 tracts. “Customers may bid on a single tract, the entire farm or any combination of tracts. This is a great opportunity for those who may be seeking to obtain larger amounts of productive land. But it is equally attractive to those just looking for a smaller amount of land to add to their holdings,” he said.

Schrader staff will be available to accommodate detailed inspections from 3 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, October 11, and from 3 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, October 26, at the Cabery Fire Department, in Cabery. Details are available at www.schraderauction.com or calling 800-451-2709.

The auction will be conducted at the Expo Center at the Kankakee County Fairgrounds, 213 West 4000 South Road, Kankakee at 1 p.m. Central on November 9. Online bidding will be available by calling in advance.
