Arden Schrader is a Real Estate Broker and Lead Equipment Auctioneer with Schrader Real Estate and Auction Company, specializing in farmland and farm equipment auctions across the midwest and eastern cornbelt. Arden grew up on a farm in Columbia City, Indiana, raising crops, cattle, hogs, and sheep. His father owned a stockyard, so livestock marketing was part of his life from an early age.
Arden has worked for Schrader his entire life, entering the industry in the 1970s. He began selling livestock in Coldwater, Michigan, in 1979.
Over nearly five decades in the auction business, Arden has been part of many landmark sales, including the Rutkoske Brothers farm equipment auction in Middletown, Delaware, which brought $4.3 million. Also included in Arden's transaction resume is the auction of 1,803 +/- acres in Kosciusko and Elkhart Counties, IN, the largest public offering those counties have ever seen. Arden has managed sales all over the country and is one of the most experienced auctioneers located in Indiana. He is a member of the National Auctioneers Association and the Indiana Auctioneers Association.
Arden lives in Columbia City, Indiana, with his wife, Heidi. Arden raised show lambs for 30 years, and outside of work he enjoys watching basketball and spending time with family and friends.
