Real Estate Broker and Auction Manager

About

Ritter Cox is a Real Estate Broker and Auction Manager with Schrader Real Estate and Auction Company, working with farm families and landowners throughout northeast Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, and Illinois. Ritter Cox grew up in Columbia City, Indiana, and took over his family's farm when he was just 18 years old. Running his own operation from such a young age gave him a firsthand understanding of the work, the decisions, and the responsibility that come with owning and farming land - the same perspective he brings to the families he helps today.

Ritter has been a licensed auctioneer since 1985, giving him more than four decades of experience on the auction block, and he added his real estate broker's license in 2014. That combination allows him to guide clients through both the auction and real estate sides of a sale.

Background

Ritter's approach to auction work is shaped by a lifetime in agriculture. As a farmer himself, he knows what a piece of land means to the family selling it and what buyers are looking for when they bid on it. He takes a practical, hands-on approach to each sale, working through the questions and details that come up so his clients can make confident decisions.

"I love helping people solve problems," Ritter says.

Additional Information

Ritter lives in Columbia City, Indiana, where he continues to farm. Outside of work, he loves farming and helping others, and he serves his community as an event announcer during the 4-H Fair.
