Understanding Your Auction Accounts and Login Credentials
• 2 min read
One of the most common calls Schrader receives has nothing to do with property values or bidding strategy. It is a simple question: my login is not working. In nearly every case, the answer comes down to a single distinction that many bidders do not realize exists.
Two Platforms, Two Accounts
Schrader operates two entirely separate bidding systems, each with its own account, its own credentials, and its own login page. There is no crossover between them.
The first is the Schrader website and real estate bidding platform. This is the account used to bid on farmland, rural property, and other real estate offered through Schrader auctions. Registration for this platform is handled directly by Schrader — when you complete an Online Bidder Registration Form for a real estate auction, the credentials you receive are for this system. The login page is located at schraderauction.com/login.
The second is the personal property and equipment bidding platform. This is a separate system provided by Schrader's technology partner and is used for farm equipment auctions, personal property auctions, and other non-real-estate events. Creating an account on this platform is done independently through the platform's own registration process.
The most important thing to understand: an account on one platform does not grant access to the other. A bidder who has successfully logged into the personal property platform many times will not be able to use those same credentials on the Schrader website, and vice versa. They are entirely independent systems with separate databases.
When Your Login Is Not Working
If you are unable to log in, the first step is to confirm which platform you are trying to access and whether you have an account on that specific system.
Common scenarios include:
- Using real estate credentials on the equipment platform — or the reverse. This is by far the most frequent cause of login problems.
- Mismatched email addresses — an account may have been created with a different email than the one being entered.
- Expired or forgotten passwords — both platforms offer password reset functionality, but the reset must be initiated on the correct platform.
- New auction, new registration required — for real estate auctions, each event may require a separate registration even if the bidder has participated in previous Schrader auctions.
Getting Help
Schrader's team is available to help sort out any account or access issues. Rather than spending time troubleshooting on your own, a quick phone call will resolve most problems in minutes.
For website and real estate platform issues, call Schrader directly at 800-451-2709. The team can verify whether an account exists, reset credentials, set up a new account, or walk through the registration process for an upcoming auction.
For personal property and equipment platform issues, the platform's dedicated tech support line is available at 260-208-3370. This team handles account creation, password resets, and any technical issues specific to the equipment bidding system.
A Note on Preparation
Account and login issues are best resolved well before auction day. Waiting until the morning of a live auction to discover a credential problem creates unnecessary stress and may result in a missed bidding opportunity. Schrader recommends that all bidders verify their login credentials at least 48 hours before the auction — log in, confirm access, and contact support immediately if anything is not working as expected.
The auction process rewards preparation at every stage, and account access is no exception. A two-minute test login days before the event is far better than a frantic phone call minutes before bidding begins.
