125 Acres in LaPorte County, Indiana Sold for $999,100

MILL CREEK, Ind. (August 11, 2026) - 125 acres in LaPorte County, Indiana, sold for $999,100 with Schrader Real Estate and Auction Company conducting the event. The farm sold as a combination of all four tracts offered, averaging $7,976 per acre.

"This farm offered the best of both worlds, strong tillable land and outstanding recreational habitat," said Luke Schrader, vice president of Schrader Real Estate and Auction Company and co-auction manager. The auction drew 17 registered bidders, all from Indiana, according to auction managers Luke Schrader and Kevin Jordan, CAI. One buyer purchased the entire property.

The 125 acres included 75.45 FSA cropland acres primarily comprised of Tracy sandy loam soils, along with wooded acreage, marshes, and terrain well suited for deer and turkey habitat. Tract 1 offered 20.7 acres of nearly 100 percent tillable farmland with frontage on both Pumping Station Rd and N 800 E. Tract 2 combined tillable ground with woods and a marsh. Tract 3, the most recreationally oriented of the four tracts, was predominantly wooded with a marsh through its center and northeast portion. Tract 4, at 54.7 acres, offered a diverse mix of cropland, woods, and two marshes, with a secluded setting that appealed to hunters and farmers alike.

"The natural surface drainage across this farm, combined with the marsh and wooded areas, made it a standout for both production and habitat quality," said Kevin Jordan. "The bidding reflected strong local interest in a property that offers this level of versatility."
