383 Acres of Huntington County Farmland Bring $5.5 Million at Auction

HUNTINGTON, Ind. (September 24, 2026) - 383.3 acres of Huntington County, Indiana farmland sold for $5,500,000, an average of $14,350 per acre, with Schrader Real Estate and Auction Company conducting the event.

Thirty-five bidders registered for the auction. A single buyer purchased all 10 tracts, according to auction manager Luke Schrader.

The 383.3 acres offered were more than 97 percent tillable and were sold in 10 tracts ranging from 20 to 64.13 acres, giving bidders flexibility to assemble a farm of the size that fit their operation. The soils across the portfolio are primarily Pewamo silty clay loam and Blount silt loam, and the property has produced strong historical yields, including five year average as high as 246.5 bushels per acre corn and 63.3 bushels per acre soybeans on the largest tract. Many of the farms contain pattern tile, and the land has been historically leased to a respected local tenant who maintained the property.
