92 Acres of Allen County Farmland Sells for $1.65 Million
FT WAYNE, Indiana (July 27, 2026) - 92+/-acres of Allen County farmland sold for $1,650,000 with Schrader Real Estate and Auction Company conducting the event. All five tracts were purchased by a single buyer at $17,935 per acre.
"This result reflects the quality of this land," said R.D. Schrader, president of Schrader Real Estate and Auction Company. "The Pewamo mix soils with a 148 Productivity Index are very good in this area. Buyers recognized that."
Eighteen bidders registered for the auction according to auction manager Kevin Jordan, CAI. There was a combination of in person and remote bidders, with a single buyer ultimately securing all five tracts.
The 92-acre farm, located just south of Fort Wayne in Pleasant Township, was offered in five tracts ranging from 10 to 29 acres. The land was all tillable, with frontage on both Yoder and Comer Roads. The smaller tracts added flexibility beyond straight row-crop use. The sale price reflects interest from several different buyer sizes but was ultimately purchased by one buyer.
"This farm had many things buyers are looking for - strong soils, good road frontage, and the option for transitional value down the road," said Kevin Jordan, auction manager. "That combination, along with the location just minutes from Fort Wayne, generated solid interest throughout the process."
"When one buyer is willing to take down an entire farm like this, it tells you the quality of the land spoke for itself," said R.D. Schrader.
