Adams County Indiana farmland brings over $26,000 per acre in Schrader auction

BERNE, Indiana (February 25, 2026) - Approximately 115 acres of farmland in Adams County, Indiana, sold for over $3 million, averaging $26,082 per acre, in an auction conducted by Schrader Real Estate and Auction Company.

The property was offered in six individual tracts, located east of Monroe, Indiana, near State Road 124, and the auction resulted in a single buyer securing the entire offering.

"This was a very strong result for quality Adams County farmland," said Al Pfister, auction manager. "Buyers continue to show confidence in well-located tillable land, especially when it offers productive soils and flexibility in how it can be purchased."

The property featured primarily tillable acreage with frontage along E 300 S and soils consisting mainly of Pewamo and Blount. The offering also included a small wooded tract - this combination ultimately appealed to both local operators and recreational buyers.

"The competitive bidding reflected the ongoing demand we're seeing for quality farmland," said R.D. Schrader, president of Schrader Real Estate and Auction Company. "Properties with productive soils and strong farming characteristics continue to perform well in today's market."
