Major auction of Washington farmland set for November 13
Approximately 747.5+/- acres of highly productive farmland in Franklin County, Washington, will be offered at auction Thursday, November 13, with Schrader Real Estate and Auction Company conducting the event in conjunction with Yarbro Auctioneers.
The property, known as the Van Rijn Farm, will be offered in 11 individual tracts, combinations of tracts, or as a total 747.5+/- acre operation. It includes a mix of irrigated cropland, high-quality homesites, and a complete former dairy facility, located at 3550 Dogwood Road, Pasco, WA 99301.
"This is an extraordinary opportunity to acquire a large, contiguous operation in the South Columbia Basin," said Luke Schrader, auction manager. "The Van Rijn Farm has been a cornerstone of agricultural production in this region, supporting a variety of crops and dairy operations with excellent water allocations and soil quality."
The farm has historically been used mainly for corn silage and potato production and is comprised primarily of sandy loam soils. Six tracts - totaling 702.5+/- acres - are majority tillable farmland. The property also includes four quality homes on small acreages, along with a former Grade A Dairygold facility capable of milking 1,100 cows three times per day.
"Buyers will find exceptional flexibility with this offering," said R.D. Schrader, president of Schrader Real Estate and Auction Company. "Operators can bid on tracts to expand their acreage, investors can acquire irrigated farmland with strong production potential, and those seeking rural homesites will find several attractive options."
